The Summer of Success (SOS) Program is a conditional admission program at Texas Southern University that provides students with a unique opportunity to gain full admission to the University. 

First-time freshman applicants (current high school students) who do not meet the university’s minimum admission requirements will be considered for participation in the SOS Program. 

The SOS Program does not have a separate application process.  Students can apply for admission at  www.applytexas.org

Program Steps

  1. Submit  Program Interest Form by Friday, June 14, 2024 (see email from SOS Program).
  2. Receive a notification on acceptance for SOS Program.
  3. Pay program fee and/or complete  2023-24 FAFSA at  www.fafsa.gov.
  4. Submit meningitis vaccination record by Friday, June 14, 2024.
  5. Attend virtual SOS Program Orientation – Thursday, June 20, 2024 (see email from SOS Program).
  6. Campus housing move-in - Sunday, July 7, 2024. 
  7. Begin program on Monday - Monday, July 8, 2024.
